We've made some changes.....

Its been a tough time for us since lock down began. None of us could envisage the effect it would have on our daily life. In May, we lost Lee Jackson, our head chef, a friend and mentor to many of the kitchen staff that work, and have worked with us. It was an extremely sad time for us. Lee had been part of our team since we opened in 1999.

We felt when the majority of the restaurants were re-opening, we didn't really want to open straight away. We wanted to assess the risk for our staff and customers, and also make the dining experience one that could be enjoyed again - as so many of of our basic privileges have been taken away. We feel now is the right time to re-open. We've changed the colour scheme outside - as I'm sure you will have seen! We've given the bistro some interior touches and installed extra hand sanitisers at our entrance and exit points, a till screen to protect us and you.

Our summer menu is featuring some new dishes - such as our refreshing watermelon & goats cheese salad, Stornaway black pudding croquettes and pollo milanese (an old Italian classic!). We've also introduced a bar snack menu and added a few vegetarian dishes to our mains - giving our plant-based diners more choice. Jonny & Jane are busy cooking up a storm in the kitchen!
